Solved! Need to buy a new laptop to be sent to Sydney asap

our daughter is in Sydney Australi for her semester abroad. it seems that her laptop is dead, and we need to buy/ship a replacement asap. Does anyone know: 1. should we buy it in Australia 2. IF so, what's the deal about the power cord...we need a US power cord too 3. If we buy it online or here in the US how fast can we ship it for her? 4. Is it better if we buy it at a store & ship it ourselves or have a vendor such as Amazon ship it? Please help asap!!!!!
