Connecting wireless to a netgear WGT624 router

Hello,
My netgear router WGT624 will not find the wireless card on new HP windows 7 laptop. I have connected two other laptops without a problem and the New HP does connect to a unsecured wireless network. Any help?

Does your router use a pass code (WEP key)?
