how do i rotate my laptop notebook screen the right way?

You have a tablet that you can actually rotate the screen, or are you trying to change the orientation of the screen in video properties? Either case, need the model and OS of the system, although if it's a tablet, the OS does not matter as it's a physical hinge. It will only allow you to rotate it one way, will be easy to move, if you feel any resistance, that's the wrong way.
