I wanted to buy a laptop that could be used for school as well as play the latest games.
I came across the MSI GT660 and I love the design of this notebook. Most of the media ports are in the back. It has 2 usb 3.0 ports.
I'm wondering if I should get it now for school or wait for another price decrease.
Will the price go back up after the Newegg sale.
I missed the sale for $850 and now it is 900 after rebate.
I have read the best time to buy a notebook is just after a new model comes out to replace it, but if you wait too long
the product will be deactivated.
What laptop should I buy?
When should I buy one?

Solution
Sandy bridge laptops will be released in April-March and are definitely worth the wait. But if you can't wait, then go for GT660
Sandy bridge are the next gen Intel CPUs.Which are now available for pre-ordering.(They were available before, but due to a problem with their chipset,Intel recalled them and they'll be available in late April)
For now,the best notebook you can get in terms of gaming is GT 660(Under $1000 range)

What about in the $2,500.00 & under range. I was waiting for a Sager NP8150/8170 with the Sandy Bridge Chip. It needs to last me for about 3 years. What can you suggest (besides waiting)?
