got a question well a few actualy

have any of you modified you g73 for better cooling? ie thermal paste, better fans, extra vents, or anything?

and 2nd is i want to take off that back hdd cover thing then put it on my cooler the cooling will be 50 times better but its a hudge open hole does anyone know of any super thin none restrictive type of fabric or a place that sells those antec removable dust covers for there cases that i could tape up under it so it just dosnt fill up with dust.

its not that its super hot i play ffxiv on standard everything (can easily go higher but the heat is what will rise) and only max out at like 80 degrees c if its hot out side other than that i try to keep it under 75. right now its lifted up like an inch with a box fan like 4 feet away and my coolermaster sf19 cooler is on its way i just wanted to see if i can take that cover off and put a dust blocker fabric or something to cover it before it comes.

Disassembly video if you want to repaste yourself.

As for something you can tape over the gaping hole if you go that route. Why not buy some pantyhose and cute a large enough square to stretch/tape over the open cover. That's as fine a filter on the cheap that I can think of.

ATI released new drivers today(?) I think also.

ok so i took that door cover off and taped on a peice of stretched pantie hose over the hole and wow im getting the same if not 2-5 degrees cooler without a boxfan blowing on it as i as with the 3 foot box fan blowing on it from like 3-4 feet away the laptop is still raised up about 1-2in

amazing now im going to try it with the fan if its cooler without it then it was with it now its going to run like ultra cool.
