HD 6970M review

Hey all
notebookcheck recently wrote a review of 6970M,but since it was in German,I didn't post it.
Now they have the review in English

"All in all, the Radeon HD 6970M shows an impressive performance. AMD's old top model, the Radeon HD 5870, is surpassed in every benchmark by about 50%—a testament to the new model's formidable performance. Even Nvidia's rugged GeForce GTX 480M winds up a whopping 33% behind the Radeon HD 6970M. Only the GeForce GTX 485M manages to top AMD's new hard hitter. Nvidia's new crème de la crème processed data almost 12% faster. Since the GeForce GTX 485M was coupled with a speedy Sandy Bridge processor, the Radeon's shortfall here is not written in stone. Paired wit a similar CPU, the Radeon HD 6970M might actually measure up to the GeForce GTX 485M in the end."
It certainly looks a decent option. If it's priced cheaper than GTX 485M,it will be even more attractive.

Quick question, with the new ATI 6xxx out, what would I compare a 6570 to? I've looked at the write ups and such, but I still don't get a good feel for what to expect.

For example, for those that would know, what would a 6570 be like compared to a 5870?

The 5870 will be the better card. The 5870 has twice the number of stream processing units and it has faster clock speeds across the board compared to the 6570. The 6870 would probably be a closer match to the 5870 going by the specs.

From those numbers, it seems that it's going to put itself between the 470M and the 480/485M. Hoping for a little better.
