I don't know whether the product you mention is contemporary enough to be considered "good" but the Hynix brand is produced by a company originally founded by Hyundai and later merged with LG's memory arm -- both, obviously, major Korean companies.

Well, it's DDR3-1333 so it's definitely of the latest generation. Hynix is generally used by OEMs like Dell and HP, so it will work well enough. It's not the best stuff out there, but since it's a laptop it's not like you will be doing any overclocking with it anyway.
