I can't choose between those two. The problem is that here, in Romania, these are the top configurations for these laptops

Sony Vaio EA 14"
i3 370m
4gb RAM
500gb HDD
ATI 5470 512 RAM
Windows 7 Home Enterprise
3.5 hours battery life
2 years guarantee

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge 14
i5 460M
4gb RAM
500gb HDD
ATI 5470 512 RAM
Windows 7 Pro
4.5 hours battery life
1 year guarantee

There are ups and downs for both, what would u choose and why?
Thank you!

I would take the Lenovo ThinkPad 14.

I still use my IBM ThinkPad T40 from 2002 with Pentium M 1.5GHz CPU and Radeon 7500 GPU. It is built to last. IBM sold their PC and notebook division to Lenovo back in 2006 I think.

I'm considering another ThinkPad, the T410s.

I just checked Lenovo's site ('cause I'm thinking about a ThinkPad T series), there is no option for the ATI HD 5470 with the ThinkPad Edge 14.

If you select an Intel CPU, then you only get integrated Intel graphics.

If you select an AMD CPU, then you get the ATI HD 4250.
