I bought a cool laptop after consulting here and was very helpful now my friend is in market for his.......and I want to know whether he has made a good choice
His is:-
Sony Vaio VPCF137HG/BI

Memory: 8GB DDR3 (1066 MHz) RAM

Hard Disk Drive: 750GB Sata (5400 RPM) Hard Disk

DVD Writer: Blu-ray writer......

Cost : Rs.122000

and mine is

HP DV6-3050TX
Specifications:

Operating Systems: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium

Processor: Intel Core i7 720QM Processor (1.6 GHz, Turbo Boost upto 2.8 GHz, 6 MB Cache)

Display: 15.6″ inch High Definition LED Backlit WideScreen Display

the point is the cost of his selection is almost twice plus of mine........is it worth paying?

Solution
CPU wise, they are pretty much even.
4GB RAM is enough for today's games/most apps, there isn't much of a difference between them unless you work with multiple pages of heavy Image/Video editing.
5650M is more powerful than GT 425M.
And for HDD,well its a personal choice.

Thank you..........I will tell him the same so that he wont waste money unnecessarily :)

and My laptop is running good but my desktop is due for an upgrade:-

Need help in Upgrading my HP Pavilion a6450in:-
Now it has:-
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
2GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7100 128MB GPU
320GB HDD
LightScribe DVD Supermulti and another expansion slot left free

Now I need to upgrade few components:-
Nvidia GTS 250 1GB GPU
LG Blu-ray Burner
1TB HDD along with older 320GB
Transcend USB 3.0 through PCI slot
and A TV Tuner through PCI slot
And a 500W PSU to run these instead of 250W factory fitted.

1.Is it possible to do all these upgrades?
2.Does fitting a higer watt PSU destroy the system?

Ps. reply
