Let's say all three of the following laptops are within my budget ($1,800.00)

Which one would you pick?

Sager NP 8690

Asus G53JW-A1

ASUS G73JW - A1

Obviously, the Sager would be the cheapest option, which is great if I can save a couple of hundred bucks.

The G73JW is definitely pushing my budget.

I'm leaning towards the Sager, since I've been looking at it the longest.

However, I want to know everyone's general opinion and what everyone agrees is the best.

Also, is the nVidia GTX 460M graphics card the best card on the market at this time??

Solution

No, the performance crown right now is split between the GTX 480M and the HD 5870. The 460M is between the 5870 and the 5850.

I have a slight bias towards Sager since I own one, but the Asus G73 would give the best performance if all else aside from the GPU were the same.

So, if I were to get an ATI HD 5870, it would be equivalent to getting the GTX 480M?

What would be the big difference in a Laptop with the GTX 460m and the same laptop with the HD 5870? (assuming everything else is the same)
