Hello, I'm trying to choose between an Acer and an Asus. Here are the specs:

Asus: 16", Core i3 350M 2.13 Ghz, 3GB DDR3, 320 GB, HD 5730 1GB DDR3. Link: http://www.sanalmarketim.com/urun/11a980b4406646becba665e28786f883/ASUS-N61JA-JX119R-Core-i3-320M-4GB-320GB-16#34;-5730-1GB-WIN7-Basic

Acer: 13.1", Core i3 370M 2.40 Ghz, 3GB DDR3, 320 GB, HD 5650 1GB DDR3. Acer claims up to 8 hrs battery life when run on Intel HD GPU. Link:

Both are similarly priced at the moment. I'm worried that the i3 350M might be a bottleneck rendering the 5730 no better than the 5650, but the i3 370M isn't that much better... Any help would be appreciated.

OK,I prefer Asus between them.As I think the core specification is more important than HD.You had better look at some comments on them and then make a reasonable decision!

The 5730 uses the same chip as the 5650. The only difference is the clock speeds. Of course, laptop makers are given leeway on clocking the 5650 which can run between 450-650 while the 5730 is at 650. So it just depends on the clock speed of that 5650. So, if that Acers 4650 runs at 650MHz, then it will be faster than that ASUS due to the faster CPU. If the Acer only runs that 4650 at 450 then the ASUS would be a better choice.
