:hello: Hello, everyone. I'm new to this website and I was wondering if anyone can help me with my problem: My Acer Aspire 3620 laptop (running Windows XP Home) crashed over the weekend and I used the hidden partition recovery option in the eRecovery tool to restore Windows. Everything is working properly now, but when I shut down the laptop, it freezes when the "Windows is shutting down" screen appears. The only way I can turn off the computer is by removing the battery or unplugging the AC power cord. What can I do to make the system shut down properly without freezing up?

Solution
It turns out that the power adapter I was using (borrowed from a friend) was not compatible with my laptop so I got the right one from Amazon. Now it will shut down like it should.
