Hello,

I just received the hp elitebook 8540w from school.
It normally costs around 1600 euros, so you would expect great results from this system.

One year ago I bought the bto 17f31a, it's a custom built notebook, I paid around 1300 euros.

Now I would expect that the hp has better performance, but today I did a Performance Test v6.1 from Passmark, and the results confused me:

Can anyone tell me, why the newer, more expensive notebook actually is more worse then the older one?
I mean the hp elitebook is a professional system.

Yours faithfully,
Jeroen
