I intend to use them for music (mainly metal and rock). I won't take them anywhere with me, so mobility doesn't matter, and would prefer that they're closed, so that I don't bother my family members. I don't use any amps. So far, I've picked out the Audio-Technica ATHM50S, the V-MODA Crossfade M-80, and the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80ohm. Which set would be best suited for me? If there are any better options, please list them.

soundguruman is right - good headsets shouldn't press against the outside of the ear, but should instead encapsulate it. this is wayy more comfortable and doesn't put nearly as much pressure on your ear.

sennheiser makes excellent headphones (650s, rs220s,). akg does as well (the 601s are solid). best of luck man
