Subwoofer problems

Hello,
I have a Yamaha yst sw40 sub and its playing up it still turns on but makes a horid noise and wont produce any bass at all would like some help

Horrid noise is not a good description. It is better to post a link to a recording of the noise...
however it usually turns out to be 60 cycle loud noise?
if this is a loud buzzing noise, it turns out to be 60 cycle most of the time.
It can mean that a solid state part is blown in the amplifier...or it can be a ground loop, etc...
