How to copy all my files to my new hdd drive for laptop

i have brought a new hdd drive for my laptop which is bigger how do out it in and put all my old programs and files onto it

You have to reinstall all of the programs using the installation medium that that software came with. If the old laptop came with the software, chances are that you will not be legally allowed to reuse the software on your new laptop.

As for your files, you will have to transfer them somehow. The easiest way is to network the computers and transfer them over the network. You could also burn your files to CD or DVD, or use some sort of SSD, like a USB thumb drive.
