$300-400 to spend on headphones/sound card/subscription

I listen to music a lot (12+ hours a day).

I have spent a lot on audio (relative to me) in my life.

I learned that if you take a song you have heard a million times and play it through better equipment it's like hearing the song all over again for the first time and it's better than it was even the first time.

I am on ubuntu now without any special software from the mobo cd

I listen to half pandora half youtube so maybe quality isn't AS good?
