Audio cards copatible with xp2 8500

Hi sorry yes it is a Dell XPS 8500
I am having problems adjusting the sound it dosent matter how low I adjust the sound of the incoming music and how high I adjust the sound of the microphone the outcome of the recording is always that the sound of the incoming music dimms out the voice recorded with the micropone I have tryed diferent microphones I still cant find the solution now I am looking for a audio card that might work for my recordings
