Solved! Audio editing/production on laptop, what processor?

Hey everybody, im a recent high school grad, getting ready to head off to college. I do a lot of music recording/production, but I'll be in a dorm so my desktop is staying with the parents for safety. I'm looking at laptops, but im on a budget and I'm wondering if I can get by with an i5 processor or if i need to spring for the i7. I dont expect to be able to do everything i can on my desktop but i need it to be an at least functional replacement. I use cubase and reason mainly if that helps. I'd appreciate any help, thanks.

I think that you'd be happiest in terms of performance by just springing for an i7. The 720 or 820 would do an excellent job for your needs.
