I am looking for a new laptop to replace my current desktop. I am developer and run all kinds of tools on computer like .net 2008, visual studio, java, outlook and webservices etc so I was looking for a good laptop that serves this need.

1_What is your budget?

$800 - 1000

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Doesnt matter.

3_What screen resolution do you want?

14 or 15 in

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need?

doesnt matter as I am looking for desktop replacement with less travel overall

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Not really but having that will help.


7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

movies,developement,testing




8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

250 gb or higher

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

for 3 yrs atleast with good warranty


11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

DVD writer /Blueray/writer

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Open for all brands ..usually I prefer dell, HP or IBM as atleast they provide good support

13_What country do you live in?
