Solved! Packard bell boot up problems

my son has a packard bell laptop which has been workin fine till other day his mate put a hp disk in an it wont boot up now its sayin boot up device not found enter boot up disk can anyone pls help me or explain how i get to safe mode on it ty

Try getting into the BIOS and ensure that the hard drive is listed as the second option (after the CD drive) in the boot menu. If it isn't change it to that order and see if it works. If not, report back.
