Hi, I'm wanting to buy a laptop and am not sure what the difference performance wise between
Intel Core i3-330m Processor 2.13GHz
Vs
Intel Core i5-430m Processor 2.26GHz?
Any help would be appreciated.

They are both pretty much the same. The i5 is going to be a little faster at stock than the i3. However, there is a feature on the i5 call Turbo Boost that will automatically increased the speed to up to 2.53ghz when extra power is needed. This feature will not kick in all the time, so results are going to vary.

Hi jax, all I can say is that if you think you're going to need more processing power, then you should opt for the i5 processor. As it will be faster and at the same time, more "future proof".

Thanks for your advice. I'm currently studying computer programming and my current PC is just way to slow. I will hopefully be finishing my degree this year. so I'm thinking going for the i5 will be the better option for down the road. :)
