Ive recently invested in an av receiver and 5.1 speaker package.

I need some advice on connecting the following items for the best audio i can choose.

PS3 (Was going to use hdmi to av receiver)
Im stuck when it comes to my PC which a lot of my media will be coming from.
Im running windows 7 64bit with a soundcard that does have optical out (the soundcard was fairly cheap however)
I have this graphics card http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004HXW5OU/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00

It says it carries AMD hdmi Output but i dont know much about this.

Any advice on connecting my pc setup to av receiver would be really appreciated.

Regards

Samuel

what type of monitor/screen are you using for everything? what inputs does this device have?

the easiest possible connection is to have both your ps3 and pc connected to your receiver via hdmi and just passthrough the video signal on a hdmi cable to your screen. most semi new video cards offer sound out via dvi (use a dvi to hdmi adapter cable) or have hdmi plugs. this is what i do with mine and it is easy.
