Hello,

After my Gateway laptop (originally running Vista) crashed, Windows 7 (64 bit) was installed - now the DVD drive does not recognize when there's a DVD present. Do I need a new driver? If so, I'm not sure which one.

Thanks!

Solution
Go to Gateway's support site, select your specific model of laptop and download either the latest W7 driver (if one is available) or the latest Vista driver if there aren't any W7 drivers. You can also update the firmware as well to see if that fixes the problem.
