Solved! Can I use i.t.e. power supply to charge my hp laptop?

I am overseas and my power suply thing for my HP laptop died on me. I am thinking of trying the I.T.E. power supply from my external hard drive to charge the laptop. Could this be too dangerous? The laptop is hp pavilion entertainment pc. The power supply is NU40-2120300-L1. tHANKS.

Take a look at the voltages on each of the power supplies. If they are the same, it could work. If the voltage is too low on the external HDD adapter, it probably will not work. If it is too high, I wouldn't tempt it.
