Hi
I am looking to buy an M17x or an Ibuypower Battalion 101 D900F laptop to replace my current PC, the question is which should I buy and will it be better than my PC considerably?
My PC specs are
C2D E6750 @ 2.66
5gb ram @800
GTX 275 EVGA
the specs for the M17x are
Intel® Core™ i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
Dual 1GB ATI Radeon™ Mobility HD 4870 in CrossfireX™ (should I go for single?)
17-inch WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 RGB LED (1200p)
4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
250GB 7,200RPM SATA-II HDD
$2,449.0 USD
the IBUYPOWER laptop is
Battalion 101 D900F 17" WUXGA 1920X1200 Widescreen LCD TFT
Intel® Core™ i7 930 Processor (4x 2.8GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Mobility DDR3 1GB NVIDIA GTX285 PCI-Express 3D Video
6GB [2GB x 3] 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500 GB 7200rpm
$2503
Screen quality is a big factor for me, any complains on either ?
Please note I will buy it from Canada but these prices are US store prices and its more of a pain to ship the iBUYPOWER to canada
I play MMO RPG games on a 40" FULL HDTV and found that the highest setting give my PC a problem, upgrading it is easy but I will travel in a month or so and can't take it with me
