SONY-TZ135 surround/s + SAMSUNG DB E6100 blue ray

Hey everyone, wondering if you can help.
I have a Sony surround sound this one:-

and have just got this blue ray player:-

I have connected the blue ray player via HDMI cable direct to the tv. I thought it would just need a audio cable into the surround sound to get the sound sorted...but nope it doesnt want to work for me!
I also tried awhile ago to set up my freeview box to go through the surround sound and had the same issue. I'm missing something and dont know what it is!

I clicked the "audio in" button on the s/s remote and it just keeps saying Invalid.

Both the b/r and s/s have "coaxial" slots...is that the cable I need to connect them?
So confused!

Your Bluray only has coaxial digital output and the Sony surround sound only has analog audio inputs. You can buy an digital to analog converter

or get a Bluray player with analog audio outputs.
