I posted a question earlier and apparently didn't get the point across.
I have a decent Carver with 4 nice 8 ohm speakers, just picked up a pair of 4 ohm speakers. They don't have the same output level obviously, is there a way such as resistance(4 ohm) in line to bump it up to 8 ohms and maintain the decibel level as I had with 4 8 ohm speakers? If this is not feasible does anyone want to buy some Magnepan's? Hope this is a little more clear. Thanks Joe

What model Maggies do you own?

Hi Zielman001. Two 8 ohm speakers in parallel will equal one 4 ohm speaker as far as the amp is concerned. It sounds like the Maggies are less efficient and will never sound as loud. There is no way of overcoming this.
