Regular TV on HD Cable on regular cable?

If I upgrade my cable to HD will my old standard definition TVs work on the HD cable feed?

No. Upgrading your cable subscription to include HD channels will require you to get a set top box. The only way to connect your TV would be through the set top box using one of the analog connections. The signal through these connections has been down-converted to your standard TV's resolution.

If you want to watch Hi-def programming in HD, you will need a display capable of displaying HD content.
