I keep getting occasional jumps in audio and video, it isnt a performance problem as my specs are pretty decent and i used to think it was my external hard drive (where all my videos and music are stored) that was becoming corrupt but videos do it on the internet too. Any ideas?

The processor does not have enough cache memory.
You can reduce the window size instead of full screen, this reduces the load on the processor. The smaller the playback window, the less jumping.
But ultimately, time for a 965 processor. Wait, can you plug a 965 onto that board?
