Will cold weather effect my subwoofer?

I left my subwoofer in the basement before I left on Vacation, we have no heating and Im just wondering if that could of caused this problem when I get high pitched clicking sound from the subwoofer every few seconds. Im not sure if the cold weather caused it to freeze, although, it did get down to -15 F and there is no heat in my basement. Any ways I can fix this?

cold temperatures should not hurt a subwoofer or speakers for that matter but speakers may sound or play different when cold , however if you play them hard when cold damage can occur . this due to the way materials become stiff or brittle at freezing temps.
