DLP set, buy a new one. If you can do the repair yourself, then parts may be cheaper but you'd have to look around what a new color wheel costs, and it may not be that that's causing the issue.
You can get a perfectly nice new LCD TV for 3-400, and pick up a used one for almost half of that. I got a nice 1080p Vizio 37" TV for $180 off craigslist.
DLPs are pretty much dead for TV tech.
