Solved! Which processor for best investment?

Hello, I'm trying to decide whether to stick with the reliable AMD brand or go with the new i7 processor from Intel. My usage will be as follows:

-Some gaming with modern games (moderate CPU demand)
-Some DVD/Blu Ray viewing
-Moderate video editing
-LOTS of multi tasking

I've configured both of these to be right at the top of my price range, but can't make a decision on which CPU. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know its the old "AMD V. Intel" debate, but I would really like something that is "future-proof" and reliable since this is a big investment for me and I plan on keeping this laptop for 3+ years.

The 4650 is better than the 320, and since you're gaming, I'd recommend that; however, if you feel your video-editing needs are more important/will be used more often, go for the more powerful i7.

What do you mean by multitasking?

I guess video editing is a little misleading. I am a coach and I do a couple season highlight videos for my teams every year. So cutting, editing, and mixing a little music is more like it.

As far as multitasking, I run multiple browsers while playing music, using office programs and sometimes games. I just can't do one thing at a time. hahahaha

In that case, your CPU needs aren't that great, and you'll be better off with the better GPU for gaming.
