I'd run like hell from no name brands for a PC monitor. Blacks end up milky and washed out, and colors just don't pop. There's a reason it's 200 dollars cheaper than similar equipped name brand models. Check out this one.

You're looking at $450 to get into a name brand 40 LED backlit set. This toshiba is CCFL, but you're getting name brand quality. I personally use a sony 40" CCFL backlit set, and love it for my PC monitor.
