Solved! Laptop directly booting in safe mode in Win7

I faced a peculiar problem today.

My laptop running Windows 7 was directly booting in safe mode. Just was unable to start in normal mode. So had to do a complete recovery.
The F8 option was working but options were not working at all. Whatever I pressed it just started in safe mode with no networking support.

Has anybody faced this problem? Don't think it is a virus problem.

Very strange. It may have been that the boot mode was stuck in safe mode. If you do a "msconfig" and check out the boot option, you'll see a safe boot option that you can check or uncheck. if it happens again, make sure that the box isn't checked.
