How to watch tv in laptops

Hello,
i had a dell inspiron laptop with windows7 operating system and i am living alone.i am just looking to watch tv on my laptop,is there any possible way to watch tv without a internet connection

That's sort of the wrong question. The right questions are:
1. How do I play a particular video file format?
Much of the tv content on the web seems to be in .avi files. Windows Media Player can play those.

2. Where do I get the video files?
Without an internet connection, you are at the mercy of friends.

You mean you want a TV card for your laptop, there are a huge number of these available and they're quite cheap, you'd only need a normal aerial connection for it to work - no need for an internet connection. Take a look at this:-

My pc I buy pci tv card and join to areal cable and its work. For laptop u get the external one.

there is nothing wrong with his question Einstein. he said nothing about watching a prerecorded show. if that was the case he can find old tv news and shows on youtube. your know it all IS the wrong response. next time try thinking before you before you jump in with your answer.
