hey! i really need help in deciding between 2 lappy's that i narrowed down my search to[based on what i understand, but im open minded].they fit snugly in budget.

Solution
I second that. The Sony VAIO is however, a bit more ergonomic to use. However, in terms of performance, you can't go wrong with the Dell Studio 15.

HOWEVER, The VAIO can be upgraded to a ATI Radeon 5470. I suggest you buy that as that will make it comparable to the Dell Studio 15.

Are you going to be using an external monitor? or the laptop screen? Either way i would recommend the dell studio either way :)
Has a slightly weaker CPU, but the GPU will help in adding layers and renders etc
