The price difference between the two is just around $100. I would like to give it as a graduation gift. Obviously, one difference is the design but how about the other features? I've researched the specifications of the two online and I didn't see any major difference. Or did I just miss it?

I think lm6200 is their entry level smart tv. They do differ in design, more specifically with the bezel, the lm6700 being slightly thinner. IMO the thinner the bezel is the better because a thick one can be distracting.

The difference is that the LG LM6200 doesn't have local dimming however both ARE rated at 120hz which is tolerable in most cases. If you are a gamer and you're on a budget, the LM6200 would prove a good choice because local dimming should be turned off anyways while gaming.
