Im looking for a 26inch HDTV for gaming and general movie playback via USB. My PC specs are as follows:

Athlon II x4 630 @ 3.2Ghz overclocked
MSi 785GM mobo
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
750 GB HDD
Sapphire HD6850 1GB

I want to ask about any good models in particular. Also I want to know if there will be any difference between 720p/768p and 1080p at that particular screen size. Also I will be watching HD res movies from usb drives. Will the HD 6850 be enough to drive games @ full HD resolution? or should I just stick to 720p/768p?
Thanks

26 inch monitors are a little tougher to come by, it's kind of an odd size.

This is a nice 24 inch model

And a 27 inch

Not knowing your price range I went for the more inexpensive end which emphasizes response time over color accuracy. Also you said you were using a USB connection but I'm assuming you will want HDMI, which both of these monitors support (though neither have speakers onboard).

At the 27 inch size you will not notice a big difference between 720 and 1080, however most modern monitors (even inexpensive ones) support 1080 so theres really no reason not to go that route.

And finally that graphics card is fine for video, and can probably run most games and medium to high settings depending on the game and your settings.

@revolution - The OP stated looking for a 26" HDTV, not monitor.

@guru_urug - That said, you're going to be hard pressed to find any 26" HDTV that displays more than 720p. Having said that, you would be better off with a 27" 1920x1080 monitor. Is there some particular reason you need and HDTV over a monitor?

Sorry for the delay in my reply. Was a little caught up with some work.

Im sorry for the misunderstanding, I did mean I wanted a TV and not a monitor. I dont want to get a monitor cause the one I already have is relatively new and the only logical upgrade I can do is the TV since my current one is having problems. Any suggestions?
