Hello,
Today i tried to start up my laptop (Windows Vista), but it said a disk read error occured, press ctrl+alt+delete to reboot.
Now, i don't know much about computers, but already took a reboot-disk from my old laptop, and copied all to my external harddisk, because my laptop has no disk-drives (so no cd or floppy).
But it seems to be missing the OS. Now, anybody got any clues what the next step is that i should do? where should i download what etc?

Kind regards

Can you boot from a USB drive? If so you could make a bootable windows installation disk on a memory stick and install from there.
As you have no technical computer knowledge it may be better for you to take it to a computer shop and get them to do it for you, it shouldn’t be very expensive, unless you want to do it yourself to gain the experience.
