New PC speakers - Logitech Z-623?

Looking to get some new PC speakers, currently running with a micro hifi system by sony (MHC-RG270 i believe) and its become a bit lacking in the low end and even comparing music playback to the relatively lowend seinheisser HD202 headphones you can really tell a difference.

Been looking at the Z-623s, any better suggestions out there out a similar price or less??

I think the Audioengine 2 is a really good desktop speaker. It costs a little bit more than the Z623, but it's definitely worth it. Here's a review from stereophile, http/www.stereophile.com/standloudspeakers/1207ae/

Logitech Z-623 is a pretty good 2.1 speaker set. Among the current heard of 2.1 speaker sets below, available in the market it is the best. At least to me.

1) Edifier S-530
2) Creative Gigaworks T3
3) Altec Lansing Expressionist Ultra (MX-6021)
4) Sony SRS DB-500
5) Klipsch Promedia 2.1

It's only when you put the Z-2300 into the equation every thing falls loose. Z-2300 is like a lion among a herd of cattle’s named Z-623, DB-500, S530 & T3.

Sadly, Logitech have stopped Z-2300 production. I am also going to post my review & comparative analyses between Z-2300 & Z-623 in this forum very shortly. Stay put.

Should say that ive gotten the Z623s and have been using them for about a week now, and i must say theyre a lot better than my old set.

And yea rishi ive seen a comparison of the two, and its obvious the z2300 was a much more solid set.

p1n3apqlexpr3ss, enjoy your Z-623. I have hard the Z-623 many a times & it is one of the best 2.1 multimedia speaker set currently available

I say go for the Sony SRS DB500, I've listened to AL MX6021, Z-2300 and I've found the SRS DB500 the best among them.
