I must be a f*&$ing moron!

I am having trouble configuring my seti command line to work with Setispy and Setidriver.
I have read and followed all the instructions at the Setidriver web page (http://www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/), teamlamchop setidriver guide (http://www.teamlambchop.com/tips/setidriver.htm) and the Setispy FAQ (http://pages.tca.net/roelof/setispy/faq.htm).
I have come to the conclusion that I must be to stupid to follow these directions and need your help.
Here is my problem.
Every time Setispy starts Setidriver I get the window “SETI Driver-Select CLI Client”.
Why dose it make me select my CLI “setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe” every time!!!
I have tried putting the CLI in the same folder as SetiDriver but then it deletes it.
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please post detailed instructions that a 12 year old could understand, maybe then I can get this thing working.
Thx

i think it's because seti drives is confused, it just looks for something named seti and doesn't know which one. my guess is to try renaming setispy so that setidriver doesn't get confused. (but maybe it's just looking for .exe?'s)

Sorry, I was a little frustrated last night but I found the solution.
I just renamed “SETI Driver-Select CLI Client” to “SETI CMD”, copied it to the same folder as SETI Driver and it seemed to fix my problem.
Thx

Actually I renamed ”setiathome-3.03.i386-winnt-cmdline.exe” to “SETI CMD.EXE”
Not what I said before.

You might also want to move SETI Driver to the startup programs folder so that it starts automatcially. After I switched to SETI Driver from the regular Seti program, sometimes I forgot to turn it on at start-up.

By the way, LowlyPawn. Are you the Tom's Hardware Guide Team? If so, what is your name on the team?

Thx & Cya

Lowly pawn,

Come on man...Why don't you join Tom's Hardware Guide's Seti@ Home team? You can be a part of a team and still have your singualr glory and maintain your independence. Shoot...with our little team just starting out as it is you can hit the ground running and be ahead of most of the Tom's Hardware Team members including me. You can also see your stats etc and how you compare to others, then you can come into this forum and talk trash about how you are passing everybody and climbing in the ranks and how great your productivity is. It might make your whole SETI experience more fun.

THGMAN

Cool! Thanks, and welcome to the team. Yea, the SETI servers have been having some problems tonight.

Anyway, you are going to be a big member right away! Looks like you will be 22nd place! But I think you can climb into the Top 20 in the next few days. How many units are you doing per day?

Oh no, I will drop one place after you join because you will be ahead of me.

Thanks again for joining we all are working on the Tom's Hardware Guide SETI team to get into the Top 200 on the Clubs list, shouldn't be too much longer now.
