Solved! Loss of power to Dell Inspiron 8200

Hi - I just turned on my Dell INspiron 8200 Laptop and get no electiricty from the power cord. The green light on the AC adaptor is lit, and there is electricity going to other things. Also, the same power cord works on a different Dell Inspiron 8200 Laptop. Last night when I shut down it was fine, computer running slow, but with ok power. Now my computer is running on the battery, which normally doesnt' last more that appx. 15 min.
Any ideas why there's no electricity all of a sudden?

It could be a bad battery. To test this remove the battery and then fire it up with the AC power cord plugged in (don't electrocute yourself).
