Sony TV - Heaphone output help

Hi,

Just got myself a Sony Bravia 32". I would like to know if it would damage the tv or speakers by connecting a 2.1 computer speaker system to the TV's headphone out jack. They both are 3.5 mm. The 2.1 speaker system has its own power supply and volume control.

i dont see why it would considering that on some motherboards the headphone port doubles as the 2.0/2.1 output for computer speakers. since both ports are headphone out jacks they should be running similar power levels (or else headphones would burn out).

Thanks for the reply. Well I don't care if the speakers get damaged since they're pretty old, just don't want the tv to get damaged
