Hello,
The image on the screen has one horizontal band (about 20%) that is a clear picture. The rest of the screen has vertical lines that are light in color with horizontal lines evenly spaced that match the width of the top band. At the bottom of the screen there are two horizontal lines. Unplugging the TV for an hour or so then plugging it back in will allow the picture to come on for a while with the horizontal banding and lines evident but the picture is viewable. As it goes into the aforementioned mode there is a freeze of the picture and it "melts" into the vertical lines.

Your thread title says you're running that thing into the ground at 240Hz resolution. If you worked for me and I whipped you hard enough to get you to run a 4 minute mile, how far would you go before you fell down (with many stripes)?

Back off and don't feel so much like you just have to have the fastest [strike]car[/strike] monitor in town.
