5.1 on xbox 360???

Basically how in the blue hell you get 5.1 through your xbox, as iv'e got no spdif port on 5.1 speaker amp, All that is happening is L/R speakers are working however 5.1 is not working, I have 3 inactive speakers which is pi$$ing me off. There must be a way but i don't want to spend much money.

On my LG crappy DVD/5.1 Amp it has NO optical port all it has is scart, Component Cable , Video Cable, Audio Cable ports but NO SPDIF so im just getting a little frustarted, sound is excellent when i play dvd however I really wanted my xbox 360 to give me better gaming experience. My Xbox is latest 320gb gears of war edition and has many usb ports and also has spdif port, also i want to do the same for my V+ box (Cable) im having same problem with that, but im more concerned with the 360.


Im thinking to options: 5.1 decoder or buy amp that has spdif

Take in mind iv'e already spent about £100 on this crappy LGHT356SD and I cant return it so i really don't want to be spending more than I need to.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP

I've checked the user manual and there is no input for sound for 5.1 or digital sound at all. It can only input stereo sound.

The next stage is for you to purchase a 5.1amp to connect your speakers to.

Be warned through that your speakers are only 45w so do not buy too powerful and amp or you may damage them/blow them
