Hey everyone!

I bought a Z-2300s to replace my good ol' X-540s, but I've noticed that it lacks Mids and I want to know how I can connect both into my computer. BTW I am using an X-fi Titanium Sound Card. Do I need a splitter or is there another way? Also, I don't really need to use all 7 speakers, just probably two from the X540s to go along with the Z2300s.

Another option is to download DFX or buy an equalizer and connect that for the front speaker and use it for your Z2300. Now connect the orange jack of the X540 to center audio port of your x-fi and the green jack of the x540 to rear audio port of the x-fi. Now turn off matrix mode of the X540 and don't connect rear speaker. Now you still have 5.1.

You can get a preamp EQ like the one below but you'll need power supply...
Your only hope is to use the equalizer software to fix the mids, or another pair of better speakers. yes you could use a Y splitter (from like radio shack) to connect multiple pairs of powered speakers.
since you are splitting a line level stereo signal, the splitter should be shielded type made for line level stereo audio (not a speaker splitter)
