Bose 901's Series III

I have been playing a Pioneer receiver along of course with a Bose Series III Equalizer to gain maximum quality sound with the 901's. Well, I had to shelve my Pioneer, does anyone think I may use a JVC Receiver with a built in Equalizer, volume turned off while still using the Series III EQ?

It shouldn't be a problem. If for some reason you can't turn off the receiver EQ, just set frequencies to zero(0).
