Solved! How do i get a lcd screen to work on a dell inspiron 1100

Hello, I used to ave a problem getting tis dell wit a cracked screen to work on an external display, then I hit a button and no problems. Now that I have not used it in awhile it wont come on again. i tried the f8 button, but no luck. Any help here?

Thank you but I found out for all others it is the Fn button and f8 button at the same time. Again thank you and hope this may help someone in the future.

Thank you but I found out that you hit the Fn and F8 buttons at the same time.
