Internal memory is full how do i delete it?

My camera keeps telling me the internal memory is full. I have downloaded all the pictures to my computer and thought I had cleared it out, but not so.
Please advise me as to what I need to do.

All cameras should have a menu option that will allow you to delete files from memory. If you will share the type of camera it is I may be able to help you find an answer. For example is it a Kodak, Canon, Sony, Samsung, etc.? What is the model number of the camera?
